About Team ADB (AI-Empowered Platform for Sterically Guided Design of Bispecific Antibodies)

Team ADB is a newly established research team within BioMed X’s XSeed Labs program. The team will develop AI-enabled platform for the rational design of bispecific antibodies, addressing key limitations such as steric hindrance, epitope accessibility, spatial dynamics, and physiological constraints that currently limit the systematic development of immune cell engagers (ICEs) and dual-targeting antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs).

In close collaboration with Servier, the team operates at the interface of academia and industry, translating advances in antibody engineering, structural biology, and machine learning into geometry-aware design strategies with high translational relevance. The team will be based on Servier’s R&D campus in Paris-Saclay, near Paris, France, enabling close, day-to-day interaction with industry scientists.

The Position

We're looking for a research assistant to support the team in developing and fine-tuning machine learning models for bispecific antibody design.

This position is well-suited for early-career scientists with a strong interest in computational biology, protein science, and data-driven approaches to antibody design, who are motivated to develop skills toward AI and machine learning–based research.

Key Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the senior scientists, support the team's efforts in:
  1. Developing and fine-tuning DL models for bispecific antibody design.
  2. Curating, processing, and QC'ing structural/sequence datasets to build training and evaluation sets.
• Document methods and results, contributing to internal and communications.
• Collaborate on-site with structural biologists, antibody engineers, and Servier scientists at Paris-Saclay to translate modeling insights into design hypotheses.

Required skills

The ideal candidate will have:

• Master’s degree with relevant experience in fields like ML/data science/ mathematics preferred; other backgrounds accepted with relevant experience.
• Experience with deep learning concepts and coding (Python, PyTorch).
• Willing to step outside your area of expertise.
• Detail-oriented and organised.
• Strong communication skills.
• Fluent English.

Additional skills, good to have

• Familiarity with generative modelling, geometric deep-learning and structural biology, with a drive to learn quickly.
• Comfort with a scientific computing stack (e.g., NumPy/Scikit-learn/Pandas, basic Linux/HPC).
